Privacy Policy
This site compares whale watching tours on Banderas Bay, from shared boats led by marine biologists to private yacht charters and whale and snorkel combos at the Marietas Islands. The comparison work itself needs almost nothing from you. This page explains plainly what is collected, why, and who else is involved once you click through to book.
What We Collect And Why
You can read everything here, from the biologist-led tour write-ups to the private charter comparisons, without handing over a thing. No account, no email, no card. Technical details are the extent of it: an IP address, your browser type, the pages you open. Email a question and your address stays with that reply alone.
How Booking Works
No tour on this site takes your payment directly. We compare whale watching options, publish from-prices as the operators list them, and link out. When you reserve a biologist-led trip with Wildlife Connection or a private yacht charter, the transaction runs on the live booking page, where card details are entered under that party's own privacy policy. Our income is a referral fee on completed bookings, and the price you pay does not change because of it.
How Cookies Work Here
- Essential cookies cover technical basics only, keeping pages loading and secure. They do not store trip preferences such as whether you favour a small-group boat.
- Analytics cookies count page views in aggregate, showing whether readers lean toward shared boats from Marina Vallarta or catamaran sunset cruises. No individual is identified.
- A referral cookie tells the operator which site sent you when a whale watching booking goes through. It carries a tracking code and nothing else, no name, no card details, no contact information.
- Your browser can block or clear any of these cookies whenever you like. The site still loads and tours still display, though any saved settings reset on your next visit.
Third-Party Services
Booking happens off this site. Every tour listed, whether a shared trip with Eco Explorer Vallarta or a private whale watching charter, links out to the live booking page, and once there, that provider's own privacy terms govern. We never see your card details or your booking confirmation. On our end, one analytics service counts page views so we know which comparisons help. Nothing is sold, shared or passed to data brokers.
Who Holds Your Data
Whatever we hold, you can see it, get a copy, or ask us to delete it. A short email is enough and we act on the request rather than questioning it. Visitors arriving from the EU, UK or Australia come with statutory rights of access and correction attached. Those protections apply here to everyone, not just the regions that wrote them into law.
Questions about this page are welcome, whether they concern cookies, refunds, or how a whale watching listing earns its place here. Write in and a real person answers. The site is deliberately small: it compares 26 tours on Banderas Bay, keeps no booking records of its own, and stores the least visitor data the comparison job requires, because the booking itself happens on the live listing page, not here.
